Dropping applications such as Oberlo allow you to add items from different suppliers to your store to stimulate sales.

Personal story of how to make money on Shopify

I started making money online with a classmate as a freshman. Back then, our business was to produce and sell sweatshirts with the university label. We got off to a good start. Without spending a single ruble on promo, in the group on Facebook only for the fall our revenue was $ 30k. Over time, we expanded and started selling sweatshirts to other cities. We also have extensive experience in trading on stock markets.

But a few months ago I got interested in studying international e-trading. Today I want to share the basics and prospects of earning in this direction, and at the same time tell you about my experience.

Dropshipping from China to the United States, Europe…

In May, I met an old acquaintance who told me that he made good money on dropshipping from China to the USA.

I’ll briefly describe the work algorithm. Suppose you are the owner of an online store but want to try yourself as an intermediary in the sale of goods that are not on your site.

Let’s take, for example, a $3 t-shirt on Alichrews. You place it for $14.99 on your site. That’s the price you order it from. Once you have accepted the order, you go to the Alіexchange and in the field of information about the delivery of the T-shirt enter the customer data. Not only do you get a good profit, but also the delivery is handled by Alіehrеs.

I have not discovered anything new with this scheme, but there are incredible ways to work with it. Many for dropshipping choose light, clear and convenient site engine – Shopify. There are also many useful applications that you can fill in the store.

One of the most effective is the application Oberlo, which almost does all the work for you. For example, it allows you to move photos and product descriptions from Alisherds to the store at the touch of a button. Also, the price, your markup, and so on will be recalculated automatically.

There is another feature: when a person has purchased on your site, in Oberlo it is enough to press the magic button, and the application itself finds the desired product on the Aliexchange, selects the size, color, and registers all the data of the buyer.

On a day you will be able to receive dozens, hundreds of orders for the purchase of goods, and all of them will be automatically transferred to the Alіehrés. You only need to pay them once and calculate your margin. As you can see, in such a story does not need a huge team of managers, everyone will cope with the work. Of course, there are disadvantages: returns, marriage, confusion with sizes, loss in the mail, and others. But it’s all solvable, it’s all part of the cost.

How to work with Facebook ads  to sell on Shopify

And now I want to tell you about a wand-grabber, which in many ways makes earnings more effective. It’s about Facebook Pixel. In my opinion, setting up advertising on Facebook is more profitable and effective than in other social networks. Facebook, unlike Yandex, Google, and VKontakte, takes into account all the information available to the network about its audience.

For example, if you have made purchases from 100 people in the U.S. according to the described scheme, you can request Facebook to create an audience similar to this hundred by all criteria: income level, interests, behavior in social networks, habits, and preferences of products.

If the average age of the first hundred shoppers is, say, 22-28 years old, most of them like Sprite and Lays, watching the same channels on YouTube and so on, it wouldn’t be difficult for Facebook to find for you several millions of similar users around the world.

Correspondingly, there is a growing probability that they will also like the offers you offer, which means that sales may increase several times. This is a LookALike audience. The funds to attract it are also decreasing.

As a result, if you brought 100 buyers to the first advertisement and spent, for example, $1000 on attracting, then with the LookALike audience to attract new 100 purchases you will spend a lot less because you will show ads to people who look like those who bought from you for the first time.

There’s another nice “bonus” for saving money and using it effectively. The fact is that testing different offers (including from the same Alichrese) in different audiences, you spend a day only $3-5.

As soon as you see that someone of the offers began to make a profit, that the necessary criteria are met, you can apply strategies, thanks to which in this announcement you can pour in thousands of dollars a day, without disrupting the conversion.

Keep in mind that Facebook knows the American audience very well, which, as I wrote above, is optimal for dropshipping. This is a paying audience of 323 million Americans and guests of the country, a strong currency, as well as consumers who mostly buy goods online. You have to admit, there is no reason not to test this system.

The experience of a friend of mine I was talking about confirms its effectiveness. Previously, his turnover on dropshipping amounted to tens of thousands of dollars a month, of which the proportion: 30% – purchases at the Aliexpress, 30% – advertising, 20% – profits, 20% – taxes, fees, refunds and so on. In recent months, its turnover is already a hundred thousand dollars a month. Excellent confirmation of the fact that it is possible to grow linearly very quickly.

How many Shopify stores can you have?

There are no specific limits, but make sure you can handle the workload. So try starting with one and see how it goes.
